COLLECTOR-EMERALD AND DIAMOND RING
Known as 'the king of green-coloured gemstones', emerald symbolises hope and abundance, and is said to be highly favoured by Goddess Venus.
Compared with other gemstones, it is more difficult for emerald to form in the crust. Emeralds are formed between rock strata that are constantly under external pressure, and are almost always damaged when found. Therefore emeralds are not normally large in size. It is unusual to come by high-quality emeralds over 2 carats after cutting; coming across ones over 5 carats is a matter of extraordinary rarity.
The ring is centring on a rare 6.01-carat Colombian Muzo emerald showcasing an elegant green colour, to an openwork octagonal surround composed of baguette and round briliant-cut diamonds. In between the centred stone and the octagonal frame are four trilliant-cut diamonds. The exceptionally singular design brings the ring to life, perfectly showcasing the spectacular and luxuriant emerald.
